John Buckberry
With over 35 years experience, John has worked exclusively for private structural consultants.
John joined Walker Associates as a Senior Engineer in 1987, became an Associate in 1991, and an equity Partner in 1993, transferring to the position of Director in 2003 when the company incorporated.
He has been the engineer in charge of numerous projects for a variety of clients, in the residential, commercial, industrial, education and healthcare sectors, using varying materials, but specialising in steel framed and RC framed structures. Also has varied experiences in major refurbishments, investigations, structural reports and acting as an expert witness.
In his role as Director, he assumes overall responsibility for his team on a wide range of projects in various forms of construction, his hands on approach involving him in every stage of a project. He is responsible for the financial planning of the practice.
John is an Incorporated Structural Engineer, has an HNC in Civil Engineering, and is an Associate member of the Institution of Structural Engineers.
